Introduction to World Agriculture
Intro to World Ag is a one semester course for students in 8th grade that is the foundation course for agriculture courses. Basic agriculture concepts are introduced and students explore careers in the agriculture industry. Students will also be introduced to FFA, leadership and Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
Survey of Ag Science and Technology
This course is for students in grades 9-12 and is a prerequisite for all other Agriculture courses. This course encompasses the applied and technical study of the various segments of the agriculture industry. Basic animal, plant and soil sciences, and agriculture mechanics skills are introduced. The course also covers the history and current status of Future Farmers of America (FFA) and agriculture careers. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.
Ag Mechanics
This course is for students in grades 10-12. This course covers the application and technical study of basic mechanical skills for students interested in mechanical applications found throughout agriculture. Competency-based instruction on basic mechanical skills and application is introduced. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.

Animal Science
This course is for students in grades 10-12. This course is an introduction to the sciences involved in animal production. Animal nutrition, physiology, feeds and feeding, health, genetics, breeding, reproduction, care, management and marketing are emphasized. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.

Plant Science
This course is for students in grades 10-12. This course covers the relationship between plants and people, plant morphology and physiology, plant production, the environment, soil and other related areas. Opportunities are provided for students to participate in FFA and supervised experience activities. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.

Ag Metals
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12. This is a beginning course in Arc-welding, wire welding, safety, blue print reading and oxyacetylene welding and cutting, and plasma cutting.
Students will be given Articulated Credit for this course after they attend ASU-MH and earn 12 credit hours. The maximum number of AC hours a student may receive is 12, and the student must earn a 'C' or better in the high school course.

Ag Electricity
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12 and develops knowledge and skills in areas of electricity as applies to agriculture, including electrical terms and theory, safety, careers, electrical plans and diagrams, wire selection and connection, circuit planning and protection, service entrance panels, outlet and switch boxes, conduit, and tools. Students will learn the meaning and use of the National Electric Code. FFA and supervised experience will be integrated into the course, as appropriate.

Ag Structures
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12. This course reviews and reinforces basic principles introduced in agriculture mechanics courses while introducing students to new areas in agriculture mechanics which are dictated by area industry for incoming industrial maintenance technicians. Competency-based instruction in fourteen areas of technical study is used as the basis for classroom and practical shop activities. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.

Biological Animal Science
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12. This course is a scientific approach to animal science using scientific principles and applied management practices. An emphasis on selection and industry review involves scientific data gained through research and experimentation. Opportunities are provided for students to participate in FFA and supervised experience activities. Students will be required to keep a notebook, master a wide range of skills and participate in all class activities.

Greenhouse Management
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12. This course offers the serious horticulture student an in depth study of greenhouse management practices. Structural considerations are covered, as well as, plant propagation techniques, pesticide use and marketing strategies. The student will receive ample opportunity to practice the skills learned during this course.

Small Gas Engines
This course is for students in grades 11 and 12. This course examines the uses of small engines in all areas of agriculture. Selection, maintenance and repair, and employability are major topics.
