Since first grade has been learning a lot about American symbols and landmarks, Miss McIntosh's class did an exciting end of the year project for extra credit. Students made models of important government buildings. Most chose The White House, but there were a couple who decided to be more localized by choosing post offices.
So proud of these kiddos! Audrie, Baylee, and Kevin all received their CNA Certificate of Proficiency and Gavin received his Certificate of Proficiency in Welding. Way to go! #hookemhorns

Three students from Viola FBLA will be traveling to Orlando, Florida at the end of June to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference . The junior high sports banquet scheduled for May 7th has been moved to May 14th at 11:30 a.m. in the high school gym. This is for 7th-9th grade athletes who participated in basketball, cross country, baseball, and softball. Parents are welcome to attend. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Educational Talent Search (ETS) advisor Mrs. Shay and Ms. Stone took a group of 9th and 10th graders to tour UCA in Conway. They all left feeling like that was a school they would maybe want to attend someday!

USDA will once again issue summer EBT (electronic benefits transfer) cards at the rate of $40 per child per month for 3 months ($120 per child total). In order for households to receive this benefit, your child/ren must be enrolled in Viola Public Schools as of May 31, 2024, and be on free or reduced meal status. The cards will be sent to the address on file with Viola Public Schools.
I just want to remind everyone that VES will be ATLAS testing for grades 3-6 Wednesday-Friday. I hope all the students get a good night's rest and that VES is able to do great! Families thanks for all your help!
