There will be a brief meeting on Thursday, July 11th at 6 pm for all 7-12th grade female athletes interested in playing volleyball this year. We will meet in the main high school gym, and parents are welcome to attend.
Practices will start on July 22nd. Schedules and other information will be available at the meeting.

The Arkansas LEARNS Act Merit Teacher incentive funding program recognizes teachers for the excellent work they do. Viola School District has two teachers that have been honored to receive a Merit Teacher bonus from the state. Congratulations to Bridgett McGough and Tina Jolliff!
USDA will once again issue summer EBT (electronic benefits transfer) cards at the rate of $40 per eligible child per month for 3 months ($120 per child total). In order for households to receive this benefit, your children must be enrolled in Viola Public Schools as of May 31, 2024, and be on free or reduced meal status. This benefit will be 1 card per child (if you have 3 children, you will receive 3 cards). Cards will be sent to the address on file with Viola Public Schools. Cards will be mailed to households beginning July 10, 2024. The DHS helpline is 833-316-2421.

Just a reminder, there is no jr or sr girls basketball practice today. All players need to be at the gym Monday June 17 at 8:30 am for team camp. Srs will play and jrs will help with the concession stand.

The FBLA Yard Sale is still happening today. After looking at the radar, the rainstorm will be out of the area around 9:30 or 10:00 this morning. Because of this, we will begin our sale in the upper hallway of the high school by the office at 8:00, and will then move outside when the weather clears.
We are still having the cookout during the yard sale, and will begin cooking at around 10:00 AM. We will be offering hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, dessert, and drinks. Please come out and support us as we earn our way to the National FBLA Conference in Orlando, Florida later this month.
