After a few days of competing, the results are in! While we are proud of all the FFA students competing in CDE contests, the Horse Evaluation team has earned a special recognition for their 1st place in the Arkansas FFA Alumni contest. Kara Moore was also awarded 1st place individually! Abby Perryman came in 5th. Landyn Denwalt and Maggie Perryman also placed in the top 10.

Congratulations to Emma Allen, a second grader at Viola! She competed in the Elk's Lodge State Hoop Shoot Contest in Hot Springs. Even though she didn't feel well, Emma competed and took fourth place in state. She won a backpack full of awesome things. Way to go, Emma! We are proud of you. A special thank you to Elk's Lodge for supporting our kids.

Miss McIntosh's class made sun catchers to see how light passes throughout some objects that are translucent. The weather we've had lately has really helped show them off!

The Viola High School Robotics team, Mechanically Challenged, will be hosting a Soup Sale and "Bakingly Challenged!", a baked goods silent auction at Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 5th. There will be multiple soups available for $5.00/bowl, and bottled water for $1.00. Come by, talk to your students' teachers, and support the robotics team. We will be set up at Mr. Thrasher's room.
